Things to Consider When Purchasing a Hoover or Vacuum Cleaner

  1. Noise

If you do not want much noise coming from your hoover then you will need to choose one that has a low noise rating. Many vacuum cleaners contain specific insulation to reduce noise levels. Under new regulations, newly manufactured vacuum cleaners now need to produce noise levels of under 80 decibels.

  1. Filtration System & Capacity

Each type of hoover has its own filtration system and capacity. For example, some hoovers are bagless and some are not. You will also find that hoovers have their own individual dust capacity and therefore you should choose one that will suit the size of your household. For bagless hoovers there will be a certain line that will alert you when the hoover needs to be emptied, whereas bag hoovers will need to be manually checked, removed and replaced.

  1. Comfort

Of course, your hoover also needs to be comfortable and easy to use! It may be a good idea to test out the hoover you have in mind beforehand so that you can assess whether it would be a good fit for you. This could also be affected by the size of the hoover so if you want something more lightweight then perhaps choose a smaller hand-held hoover. Alternatively, if you want a bulkier unit then a larger upright hoover could be a great choice.

  1. Warranty

You want to ensure that your hoover appliance is going to last. Therefore, you should always check on the warranty that the hoover comes with, in case that anything were to go wrong with it in the future. All of our hoovers come with a 2-year warranty so you can be rest assured that they are of a high quality and will last for many years to come. If you have any issues with the hoover within the warranty period then we will likely either replace your appliance or fix it as if it were brand new.

  1. Type

There are many different types of hoovers. From the traditional upright to the innovative robotic hoover, you are spoilt for choice. The choice in type will entirely depend on your preferences and how you like to use your vacuum cleaner. Below we have discussed some of the main types of hoover to look out for and what they’re best suited for!

Types of Vacuum Cleaners in Bristol

Cordless: For those who are fed up with plugging in their vacuum, whilst struggling to move it around the house. They are extremely light and are much smaller, making them easier to store and use. However, you will have a limited battery life on how long you can hoover your house for at a time.

Cylinder: The motor units of the cylinder are smaller than usual hoovers and will usually be much lighter. This is ideal for hoovering stairs and other areas that may be harder to access with a larger hoover.

Handheld: If you’re looking for a hoover that can reach difficult areas than a handheld hoover is ideal. They are perfect if you are struggling to hoover certain areas of your home with a standard hoover as you can maneuverer it in any way you please. We would recommend this type of small and tight spaces.

Upright: The most common type of hoover. They are easier to understand for many users and provide a powerful clean for your home. Most people own at least one of this type of hoover during their life and therefore they provide a standard and easy clean.

Robotic: There has been an ever-growing demand for robotic styled hoovers. New technology has allowed for manufacturers to develop hoovers that can essentially do the job by themselves. They are able to roam around your home without any person physically touching the device and can sometimes reach areas that other types can’t.
